I have a stray young pup outside at my house in the cold and since S.O.S. had so many great reviews I tried to call. And have been trying for a week and no one will answer and there is no answering machine. So I tried facebook messaging. It showed someone had looked at my message and yet again no answer I finally call them out on it and supposedly it's a Facebook admin they say. So I give them another day to answer me another day to call. The same thing. I'm not sure what kind of business this is but I don't think I would want this pup there anyway I will try to find another place where she would be taking care of.

I adopted my first dog here, the process was we simply walked in and were led to the back where they were kept. We were left to look over the dogs and find one we liked, their wasn't a lot of space, but they were clean and the dogs were taken care of.
After some debate, my family and I chose a puppy they called Pepper. We came back the next day to fill out the papers and bring her home.
We paid a $25 deposit with the adoption fee, because she was not yet spayed. We were meant to bring pepper back for her shots and come get our money when the surgery was done.
We came back for the shot, we had Pepper spayed. But we never got out deposit back, and now I don't know if they even still do things like that. They change management so often and things never really... I don't know.
I felt like after we took Pepper home they just kind of forgot about us entirely. Which is alright with us, but... They don't really seem to care what happens to the dogs after they leave, or that's the impression I got. Maybe I'm just looking to much into it...
It's a decent place, they get a lot of traffic and they are well liked in the community. They take good care of the animals they have and try to get each one adopted. They do the best they can and it pays off as far as the shelter itself goes.

After adopting a pet and paying their fees (which includes having the dog dewormed and spayed), I discovered that the dog had a bad case of worms. Later, she began bleeding from her vagina and the vet said she had not been spayed. I had the vet spay her, and he confirmed that she had not been spayed in the past. Of course, I had to pay for this surgery.
It seems to me that the SOS Animal Shelter charged me for services not performed.
I have contacted the shelter many times, but they are ignoring me.
I am contemplating suing SOS Animal Shelter for FRAUD and DO NOT recommend you get your pet from them.
