      Pilgrim's Pride Corporation owns and operates more than 20 chicken processing plants in the United States, Mexico and Puerto Rico. The company also owns eight chicken prepared foods plants, two turkey processing plants, one turkey further processing plant, feed mills, hatcheries and grow-out facilities to supply these plants. The company currently processes more than 30 million birds per week for more than 6 billion pounds of poultry per year. The company exports commodity chicken and turkey products to more than 70 countries, including Japan, China, Russia and Kazakhstan. Pilgrim's Pride products are sold to retail and frozen food customers. The company's primary distribution is through retailers, food service distributors and restaurants throughout the United States and Puerto Rico and in the Northern and Central regions of Mexico. Headquartered in Pittsburg, Texas, with a location in Ellijay, Ga., Pilgrim's Pride Corporation is one of the largest chicken producers in the United States.
