I went there in April 2014 to check my feet for bunions, the waiting time was too long about 3 hours, and the service was next to awful. I was looking for a doctor to operate both feet at the same time using endoscopy method; is when they make small incisions and the recovering time is very short, but the Doctor Gabriel Lazar DPM/073169 didn't know about this procedure. I guess this doctor needs to keep studying and update his old procedures. I will definitely look for another doctor.

But the Really Bad part is the lady called Cristina M.

Before we schedule the visit I call the receptionist and give them my insurance Blue Cross Blue Shield information, and the lady "supposedly" check the insurance and that I only need to pay the co-pay $20 and the insurance will take care of the rest.

Then I when to the appointment and first they took the X-ray then I found that the doctor lack of knowledge issue explained before.

So I decided NOT to go with this old procedure. But NOW I received a FULL $ 303.00 invoice for their useless activities, so I called Cristina M and complain about the full invoice, and the only thing she mentioned is that they don't really call and ask the insurance really coverage, and what they only do is a "courtesy call" to verify if the insurance and name exists.

(Courtesy call?) That's what we pay for; this lady Cristina M was too un-professional.

So I called the Insurance and they mentioned that pre-operational bunions work is NOT covered and is only limited to the actual operation procedure, but on my opinion this question should be asked by Cristina M before I when to the appointment then I can decide if take or cancel the appointment. Plus if I know this doctor has really OLD procedures I should NEVER call them at the beginning.
