Brought my '97 Jeep Grand Cherokee in a year or two ago to see about the infamous jeep death wobble. They claimed it was due to bad brakes. They wanted $600 for new pads and rotors, not too bad, but I could do it myself for $200. After I got my Jeep back home I tried to work on it but they used their pneumatic system to put my lug nuts back on. After braking 3-4 nuts and having to actually chisel one off, I was pretty angry they put them on so tight. If my wife was driving and got a flat, there was NO way she could have gotten those lugs off. I had to use a 4 foot pry bar to get the "looser" ones off. Got my brakes fixed, death wobble still apparent. Found out that there was a bolt that went through the frame had worn out and bored the hole larger... $1.50 in heavy washers and some welding fixed it. Don't know why I (or they??) didn't see it. No thanks.

I can't begin to say enough about Fred's place....this place is a class act. I have been there for various things from tire rotation inquiries to a major tune-up on a used vehicle which had never had the plugs changed. In addition on this visit I also had a valve spring that had broken. Now on a Friday evening on the way home at 4:40 I stopped in and they dropped everything to put it on the diagnostic and then had an idea what the problem might be. Knowing my situation that I like most people I depend on my car for my job. I am a single mom of a special needs son, and I have my own residential cleaning business. I need my transportation...in any event....I got my car back in 24 hrs. with a very fair honest bill. Late last winter I also had to take my car to AA for some work on the undercarriage that was affecting the wear of my tires.....and that also was done in a timely manner, and once again a very fair bill. Bottom line-honest, timely, and affordable
