These apartments are horrible. The apartments are over twenty years old and very little has been updated. If you use land line phones or Internet over phone lines expect to have a lot of problems due to the old wiring in the building. Amenities such as washer and dryer or dishwasher are as cheap as they come and break down often. Sometimes Oakwood will order new appliances when the old break down, but usually you have to wait until the one maintenance person has time to repair the appliance. In my particular townhouse I have been waiting for new cupboards and countertops for over three years, each year bringing a new promise for them. I have broken doors on the cabinets, a bulge in the countertop from a hot water leak, missing covers for the drawers that have fallen off (the whole construction is of partical board), and fire damage on the cupboards from an oven that shorted out and caught fire. There are better places in town for the large amount of money Oakwood expects for rent.
