      The Golden Cockatoo. Lets see. Big store, lots of toys, stands, perches, and food. Having said that, we housed our bird there for 3 days when we went down to the Keys. They said they would feed our parrot the food if we dropped it off but it was never touched when we picked up our bird. They did NOT give her any of the seed, special cooked food, or treats that we provided to them. Our parrot barley eats the dry stuff and that was all she had for days. The cooked food that we left with them also had medicine mixed with it for high iron I the blood so our bird did NOT get her medicine for the few days as a result of her not getting the food. While our bird was there she was also supposed to have her wings clipped. We paid for this service when we picked up our bird, but they never clipped her wings!When we picked up our bird they had an employee working with a bird that looked very sad that was in the cage right next to our bird. We asked if they get like that because they miss their family, but he told us No. This is one of our birds. Shes sick. We dont know whats wrong with her, shes just been like this. I do not understand why they have their sick birds housed in the same small backroom with our bird when they require our bird have all her vaccinations. I had read about a couple other cases of people mentioning sick birds here, but I did not take it seriously. They have extremely poor administrative processes and no one seems to know exactly what is going on. We had two other baby sitting appointments here over the next two months and we canceled both because of how terrible they were, when we asked for a refund for the clipping of the wings that never happened they gave a hard time and acted like it was a huge deal because they Have a new system. And they were extremely argumentative about the sick bird that they claim does not exist, when we were speaking with their own employee about how sick the bird was, I think you are much better off just staying away from the Golden Cockatoo.

      Notably good service experience. My favorite place!

      They really care about the birds. They explain everything to you, what is the best to be done in any kind of situation that concerns the birds. When we did want to buy one bird, they ask us if we could have like 1 and 1/2 hour every day to play with the bird, what to buy for the bird, even when my bird needs exams they let me know about it. My birds were boarding over there for 1 week (2 different times) and they were very well take care of. They do grooming, have good quality of food and toys and cages.Very clean place! All the people working there love birds and are very friendly with customers, too. This store are the best!

      The Best Birds and Everything For Your Birds, Guaranteed!

      In a perfect world, the rainforests would remain intact, and there would be no need to establish breeding programs, or buy property in the native countries where the wild parrots currently live, in order to perpetuate the many species which are now on the road to extinction. However, we do not live in a perfect world, and it is almost certain that many of the parrots living in their natural habitat would be extinct within 20 years were it not for (1) domestic breeding programs (regardless of what one Greenpeace founder says), and (2) the outright purchasing of the actual habitat of these Parrots so that they remain in the wild (like the Nature Conservancy). Without credible, honest retailers and breeders, most domestically raised birds lead miserable lives, dying from neglect. Please make sure you understand the responsibilities of bird ownership before committing to take a parrot home. They can live up to 60 years (make sure to properly modify your Last Will and Testament), and it is best for them to stay in same household. We turn away many people who love the beauty of exotic birds and/or want a parrot that talks, but do not understand the intelligence and corresponding interaction required on a daily basis to keep these incredible creatures happy. The truth has built our business. Sure, we "sell" birds. But we like to think of it as "placing" birds in good homes. Our mission is to provide money to the breeders who are instrumental in perpetuating the species by educating people and placing these domestically raised birds in great, loving homes. Why? So the children will always be able to see real, live parrots in person, and we won't be telling them stories that start with, "I remember when they flew in the rainforests...."
