About GHC-SCW Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin (GHC-SCW) is a not-for-profit managed health care organization that provides the entire spectrum of health care services, including insurance, Primary Care and Specialty Care.The heart of GHC-SCW is in its nationally-ranked Primary Care Clinics, which integrate with the insurance arm of the organization to provide quality care with value-added services. GHC-SCW is also paired with several networks, which allow our members to access a variety of Primary and Specialty Care options, depending on the insurance plan the member is enrolled in and the network he or she selects. We believe that health care should begin at the Primary Care level, with an established relationship with a Primary Care Provider who gets to know the member and his or her health care needs.QualityEach year, GHC-SCW develops a Quality Improvement Plan to use as a tool to focus on and monitor performance, and to identify areas in which GHC-SCW can improve care and service to its members.GHC-SCWs Quality Improvement Plan is divided into two sections and six categories, each containing several specific initiatives. The first section, Clinic Quality, addresses disease management projects that seek to improve care to members with chronic illnesses, preventive health projects which seek to improve the delivery of preventive services such as screening exams and immunizations, and clinical monitoring projects which measure how well GHC-SCW maintains quality improvements achieved in the past. The second section, Service Quality, includes quality improvement projects that seek to improve the level of service experienced by members as they use the GHC-SCW system, service monitoring projects which measure how well GHC-SCW maintains improvements achieved in the past, and member satisfaction monitoring that provides annual measures of how well GHC-SCW measures up to the competition. Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin (GHC-SCW) has kept its promise for over 30 years and remained true to its mission of providing superb care and impeccable service.
