The Hooven Automatic Typewriter Company began operations in 1912 in the growing manufacturing district of Hamilton, Ohio. The company was most notable for its invention of “The Hooven,” a commercially successful device for making any number of duplicate copies of a typewritten letter. In 1935 the company moved to Dayton, Ohio, changed its name to Hooven-Dayton and began an illustrious tradition of supplying printing solutions to neighboring businesses. From these simple beginnings Hooven-Dayton Corporation has evolved into a premier, innovative, narrow web converter. Our dedicated team of experts is committed to providing high quality, fast turnaround, multi-color label printing, flexible packaging and other narrow web converting solutions that help our customers grow and maintain their businesses. The Che International Group, LLC (CIG)—a multi-national, 100% minority owned holding company specializing in acquiring and supporting subsidiary companies in diverse industries through joint ventures and acquisitions—purchased Hooven-Dayton Corporation in 2007. In April 2011, Hooven-Dayton acquired Benchmark Graphics, of Richmond, Indiana. This acquisition expanded HDC’s geographic footprint from Ohio into Indiana and significantly increased the company’s scale, capacity and expert workforce. Hooven-Dayton Corporation is managed by experienced industry experts with a history of success. We are certified as a 100% minority-owned business enterprise by the National Minority Supplier Development Council and the State of Ohio. Hooven-Dayton is ISO 9001:2008 Certified, AIB International Recognized, and meets the principles for Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP). In addition, HDC has adopted a Food Safety Plan for indirect labeling based on the seven principles of HACCP. OUR VALUE PROPOSITION We are expert at providing high quality, innovative (short, medium, and full-scale) production runs. Our customized fast-turn, flexographic and digital print solutions help you: • Reduce your total cost of ownership (TCO)—saving cost by reducing inventory through customized print-on-demand and eliminating wasteful obsolescence • Increase your speed and flexibility—get your product to market faster while allowing for late-stage differentiation • Provide maximum shelf appeal and visual impact—drive impulse sales inside the store • Test your product on new markets with short-run digital solutions while delivering color consistency in your production roll-outs • Maximize your MBE spend with a quality oriented, value-added, proven performer
