(More) If I could I'd give Tony's more than 5 stars simply because, in my opinion IS THEE best restaurant in RI PERIOD!!! I'm not going to go into details as to why it's thee best. I'm going to leave that up to you to experience. Tony's, again, in my opinion blows away all thee other "typical" "authentic" Italian restaurants around. All the Federal Hill resteraunt's menus are just sooo run of the mill & boring(ie:chix picatta/veal picatta/chix parm/veal parm/chix franaise/veal francaise etc...) you know what I'm talking about, right? While Tony's has all the signature Italian dishes, he also has, what seems to be, another 100 pages of apps/dinners/salads/pastas too. Great family, hard workers & always a pleasure to talk with. Simple, fresh, home-cooked, huge portions that make ALL those new upscale Providence 5 star restaurants w/they're rock star "chefs" look....well?.....like they should bring they're notebooks & pens to Tony's & take notes. A local favorite of mine Tony Papa's Go their all the time. Everything is great down to the salads to the pasta. Even the pizza is... (More) Tony Papa's Go their all the time. Everything is great down to the salads to the pasta. Even the pizza is great.
We order the Chicken parm and the special salad alot. The fish their is very fresh, and is make to order, so it is not rubbery or over cooked when it is served. I'd go out of my way to get there. (Hide)
