Bob is a family law attorney who serves the entire State of Florida, including Pinellas, Pasco, and Hillsborough Counties. He has worked closely with clients to resolve all types of family law cases including, but not limited to, contested and uncontested divorces, alimony modifications, child custody and visitation cases, paternity actions (including disestablishment of paternity), adoptions, parental relocations, child support cases, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements. Bob earned his Bachelor of Arts magna cum laud, with honors, from The University of Tampa. While studying at Tampa, Bob worked as a tutor in the university's writing center for3 years where he edited and revised student compositions, including Masters level business plans and essays. Bob was also selected by the Faculty Honors Committee to study abroad at Oxford University. While at Oxford, Bob studied Russian Literature at the direction of Dr. Richard Crow and Jurisprudence under Sir David Bradley. He earned a 4.0 GPA. Bob then went on to earn his Jurist Doctorate from Marquette University. During his final year of law school he attended the University of Miami as a visiting student and clerked at the Law Offices of Brian R. Hers, a family law attorney with 39 years of experience. After graduating, Bob returned to the Tampa Bay area and began working as a family law attorney in Tarpon Springs until opening The Law Office of Robert M. Valentine in January of 2012. Bob is a member of the American Bar Association, The Clearwater and St. Petersburg Bar Associations, and the Maharanis (Family Law) Inn of Court, where he meets with other family law attorneys and judges each month to discuss important family law issues. In his spare time Bob enjoys golfing and scuba diving. He lives in Clearwater with his wife, Carolyn, and their dog.
