i.e., A local favorite, or highly recommended becauseI was in a rather desperate situation that my engine blew up two years after having it rebuilt. A few people recommended them to me and I was still skeptical, afterall I was anticipating throwing down about $3,000 and I had just done that too recently to have to do the same project again. Mr. Richmond had not only laid out several options for me but took the time to explain each option and knowing that I was in a bind as to getting my engine to him and back to the truck, he offered to help. I picked a layout and in record time he not only had it built and ready to go but it had cost me far less than I ever could have expected. A few months later, I see no issues and my truck is stronger than it ever had been. Mr. Richmond and his crew have the skills to build just about anything you need and are not afraid to help where they can. Always a thumbs up from me.

Had an engine done there, had the block decked I didn't realize they didn't put the dowel pins back in until I got around to building the motor 2 months later because of illness. Also they told me one price for an align hone on the mains but charged me more then quoted. Their block cleaning service is not very good at all, I could do a better job with my power washer. Their machine work is spot on, I checked all clearance's as I was building the motor and they were perfect. In case you don't know their machinist is the guy who use to own Lone Star Machine Shop on Kraft Street. The last time I called to see about getting 2 engine blocks done was told there is a 2 month turn around time, so now I use Bates Automotive in Center ville. They clean the block down to bear metal and then they spray it with primer so it is ready to go when you get it back, 2 engines took 1 week to get back and everything was perfect and price wise much cheaper then Richmond, you will not be disappointed.

Same here. I will only take my machine work to Richmonds. I was given a warranty with my motor so I'm not sure what this guy is talking about.

Not sure about the last guy but I had Mark build me an engine three years ago. It sat due to me not finishing my project. There were problems due to me letting it sit but Mark helped me out. I take all my machine work to Richmonds

They machined a cylinder head for me, and told me that 3 cylinders were not pulling a vacuum. Basically the valves were leaking. I had them machine it and clean the head anyway and I installed the head. I did a compression test and there was no leak, and the car ran great. They machined it greatly, didnt quite clean it as good as they should have, but watch out for any recommendations they make. And they do not warranty anything.
