Able Moving (Chicago) moved me from Virginia to Kentucky earlier this summer. I couldn't have been happier with the services they provided me. The moving crew were friendly and efficient, and I received my delivery within a very timely manner. I paid what I expected to pay and was very satisfied all around. I was surprised at how quickly I received my furniture in Kentucky especially since summer seems to be the busiest moving season. I would definitely become a repeat customer if I ever need to move to another state again. Great service!

I am extremely disappointed with the unprofessional customer-service representatives...not promptly returning telephone calls, literally extorting money by arbitrarily boxing items which were unnecessary, charging $.73/lb. in excess weight which wasn't explained by the late to arrive and deliver driver whom was dissatisfied with his rate of pay,and the business he worked for..upon late delivery, the price was raised additionally with absolutely no reason given..interestingly enough..most "satisfied customers" were either moving from or to the Chicago area. I simply tried to resolve this very unprofessional manner in which I was told to "Pay in cash or with a cashier's check otherwise your overweight shipment will not be delivered! Two boxes were not delivered with sentimental attachment which will never be replaced,,,in addition to being overcharged for the undelivered valuable merchandise. Fast, efficient, and friendly. They even helped me set up my Ikea bed thats a total pain to do. True, I had to flip the screws in the right direction after they left, but I could have exercised more oversight in that process while it was happening. They also put additional padding around items like my mirror, which I had not padded myself. And the final cost was far below the quoted estimate I received. I cant beleive my bill actually went down in price! I would recommend Able Moving to anyone planning to move in the Chicago area or out of state like I did. I did not have to lift a finger and the price was reasonable and they packed my whole house up within 2 days. The delivery was one day passed the window, but I didnt sweat it.

Terrible and Aweful. They will hijack your goods and demand money as they wish.

DONT USE THEMNot only do they come LATE for appointments, they damage items during packing, overcharge for packins items, then inflate the weight of goods. Should you the customer request a re-weigh they hold goods hostage for days beyond the contact delivery offering a $25 compensation. No return of calls either.

Able Moving is the worst moving company I have ever used in 30 years of moving in this country and overseas. They randomly charged for materials and never provided a price list for them. However, the company has refused to pay as I did not take pictures before getting it fixed. It was several hundred dollars and they actually told me the max they would have paid was $30 (if they agreed to pay ) because they pay claims at 30 cents per pound irregardless of value or damage! Do not use Able Moving!

I have used Able Moving out of Chicago for 5 years now. I have recommended them to all of my corporate friends who relocate within and out of the city to other states. My experience with Able moving was an absolute nightmare! They are unprofessional, rude, sloppy and apathetic. After being two weeks late in getting my goods delivered to Florida, there were several items that were missing and the driver acknowledged this on the inventory check list. It took four weeks of me having to repeatedly call/e-mail to get a response. When I finally got through, I only reported three items missing on their claim form along with two items that had been badly damaged. I was being extremely generous as I had an ENORMOUS amount of damages ? everything from broken glassware to deep gauges in all of the wood furniture. I was told I had to submit pictures of the damaged goods to their web site, but when I tried to do this, the e-mail kept coming back as undeliverable due to the destination server. Once again, no one would return my calls/e-mails ? which I continued to send. Finally, I got an e-mail from them stating that they had received my claim and that it had been denied because it wasn't submitted in a timely fasion. In addition, they hit me with a hidden 10% surcharge on my overall bill because I paid the driver on a Saturday w/ a credit and not a cashier?s check). I have filed a formal complaint w/ the Better Business Bureau and will be filing suit in small claims court.

able moving has moved me 3 times in the last 2 years. I have a small 1 bedroom place. the service works very well for me. The crews have always been friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this company. Lindsay M.

ABLE MOVING INC. JUST RELOCATED ME INTO THE CHICAGO IL AREA. THESE GUYS WERE ABSOLUTELY PERFECT MOVERS. THEY TOOK SPECIAL CARE OF MY 42 INCH LCD TV AND CRATED IT TO ENSURE THERE WAS NO POSSIBLE FEAR OF DAMAGE. A+ RATING FOR THIS COMPANY.
