Munson Elementary, one of four elementary schools in the Chardon Local Schools, is a kindergarten through fifth grade Hall of Fame school located in Munson Township, with approximately 420 students enrolled. Munson School is known for its traditions, from the ringing of the bell at the first day of school celebration on the lawn to the school-wide "clap-out", signifying the last day of school for fifth graders. A course of study has been developed for each subject area and adopted by the Chardon Board of Education. There are three classrooms at each grade level. Kindergarten through fourth grade have self-contained classrooms and fifth grade is departmentalized for reading, math, and science. A dedicated staff, along with supportive families and surrounding community make Munson a great place for learning. Get involved and see for yourself!
