General Info
Founded in 1977, Child Support Enforcement is a program that includes paternity establishment services and the collection, distribution and enforcement of support orders. The program includes legislative issue handling services, such as filing of paternity actions, criminal nonsupport and enforcement actions. It also provides reviewing, modification and monitoring services of children-related and medical support orders. Child Support Enforcement is operated by the Family Support Division of the Missouri Department of Social Services, which offers vocational rehabilitation services, such as job placement, training and counseling to individuals with visual impairments. In addition, the Family Support Division provides health care and cash assistance services. The division offers refugee resettlement programs and maintains a presence in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
