HMT came to inspect our job and made several false claims about the work. Their inspector didn't seem to know about the material we were using . The builder did everything he was supposed to but the inspector still gave us a hard time. They later admitted they had made "some errors" but it still caused loss of time and grief we didn't need. They are not very professional.

I am a local contractor and we have to deal with many inspection agencies, HMT is the worst to deal with and many townships use them exclusively it is more difficult. If you get a building permit through HMT you won?t be able to get an inspection to close walls until all your mechanicals are complete or you will pay extra! Inspectors don?t have a clue what?s going on. Complain to your local township if you have to use them.

They were hired by the Canonsburg Borough to do a sewer project.....they made a mistake and never connected our sewer line from our house to the main street line....our basement filled with sewage back-up. Did fix the mistake they made butNEVER reimbursed us for the damages that they caused, due to their negligence! Sill fighting to this date (July 2006) from Sept. 2005...to rectify problem. No resolution in sight. Lies, unprofessionalism and unethical business by this firm. Think 2x before doing business!!!!
