      I inherited a 55 gallon fish tank is serious yet stable condition. I went to A Place for Pets for a filtration system and they set me up (fairly inexpensively) with everything I needed. A couple months later the pump quit pumping so I went back in and was 100% prepared to purchase a new pump. The man at the counter explained to me a couple of different issues I could be having with my original pump. I bought the new pump anyways and went home to try his suggestions and guess what..HE WAS RIGHT!! Simple fix! Needless to say, I returned pump number 2. I am very impressed with that level of customer service! He could have sold me the 2nd pump and sent me on my way! FIRST CLASS ACT!! I wouldn't go anywhere else for fish supplies!! CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!

      The last few years brought exciting events & changes for A Place for Pets. With sadness & thanks we said goodbye to our founders, Kevin in 2013 & Sean in 2015. However, as we celebrated our tenth anniversary we welcomed a new owner & additional staff to our business! All of us at A Place for Pets plan on moving forward to serve you better & stay a part of Burien for another ten years. The change of ownership brought new experience & changes, which allow us to continue providing the best possible care, advice, products & services for your pets. We are slowly introducing new services & programs. Did you know we now host low cost vaccination clinics every first Saturday of the month? We appreciate all of you who came in & stood by us over the last ten years. We invite those of you who haven't been in, to come and see what makes us different. We still have the best selection of fresh, brackish water fish you can find! We have many species of river & lake Cichlids, Live-bearers, Catfish, Plecos, Rainbows, Goldfish, Boney-fish, Puffers & more. If we don't have it, we will do our best to get it for you. We have an increasing selection of Saltwater fish and invertebrates as well. We are a full line pet store so we don't just have pets! We also carry the supplies you need for your furry, feathered or scaled friends to thrive with your family. Big Box pet stores may have a lot of dog food, treats & cat litter, however, we have the best services, people with passion & knowledge.
