For years I have been buying the 8 oz Hannaford Yogurt for my lunch at work. I've tried other brands but liked this one best. At 45 cents it was also a good deal. Two weeks ago I noticed that they are doing away with the 8 oz size and just carrying the 6 oz size. It would be fine if the 6 oz was priced less than the 8 oz but the price for getting 2 oz's less is 45 cents. I filled in a customer complaint card 2 weeks ago and never heard anything back. Last week I left my name and e-mail for the manager about this issue and never heard anything back. It's a shame that when the economy is bad Hannaford's corporate office would like to charge more for less. I refuse to buy the smaller sized yogurt for the price of the larger size.

Some months ago I gave up buying fish at Hannaford because it is never fresh.The other day as I rounded the corner by the salad bar, I could actually smell the non-freshness. I now patronize local fish markets in Bath and Portland for seafood. Otherwise, I shop regularly at Hannaford. The staff are invariably friendly, knowledgeable and competent. It just seems a shame that fresh fish is not available in a coastal Maine supermarket.

People who work there are happy and very pleasant to the customers. If you can't find something they immediately offer to help you find it.. They are willing to order items that you can't locate in the store if they stock them in the warehouse. If they can't find it for you they will send you to a web site where you can order it. The store is clean and the prices reasonable.
