In the past 18 years we have performed close to 200,000 trips for over 45 thousand customers, who need and use our service again and again. ambulette.org was formed in 1995 as an on line facility to offer our service anywhere in the US through affiliate members.Clients - We are providing services for hospitals, HMOs, Insurance companies, doctor?s offices, various diagnostic, medical and nursing facilities, dialysis centers, law offices, hotels, airlines, travel agencies and private customers.Service - We can accommodate any type of travel requirements: wheelchair's, recliner, extra wide, motorized, non-emergency stretcher. We provide service at airports, train stations, sea ports, hospitals, doctor offices, holiday visits, family occasions, stadiums, theaters, restaurants, hotels, excursions. Local and long distance. Additional attendant en-route. Oxygen tanks.Operations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. (Advanced reservations required for services 7PM to 7AM, Weekends and holidays)Fleet - All vehicles are specifically manufactured for transportation of people with special needs and are capable of accommodating multiple wheel-chairs of any configuration and stretchers. All vehicles are high top with hydraulic lifts, climate controlled. The design and maintenance is approved and continuously inspected by the local State and Municipal Authorities.Communications - When using our service you are never out of touch. Each driver has a two-way radio and a cell phone. In addition we are using Global Positioning to continuously track the location, speed and movement of all vehicles in our fleet. Dispatch - Our dispatch system is fully computerized. All current and advanced reservations are entered in the system as they are received, whether by phone, fax, e-mail or on-line. 99% of all reservations are made within 10 minutes of schedule. Operators - Our friendly and experienced operators are trained to courteously and efficiently assist clients in arranging our specialized services. Records - We are using modern technology to maintain all pertinent information on patients and their individual needs, medical facilities and other destinations, service history, billing preferences, and even specific driver or vehicle requests. All data is recorded, processed, and maintained permanently on our system. We have immediate access to name, address, time, destinations, ordering providers, type of assistance required, type of treatment, diagnosis, driver and vehicle for every job completed or scheduled. All data is stored in HIPAA compliant database.Billing And Payment - We can accommodate any type of billing method. (Prior authorization required for HMO, Insurance or other third party payer). For institutional clients requirements customized electronic or print statements are available. Custom reports for any statistical or billing information for any period of time can be generated.Drivers - Our drivers are professionals, carefully chosen and thoroughly trained on the road by experienced staff driver-instructors. All drivers are commercially licensed and tested annually by State DMV and other local City or Town Authority, they carry Company ID and always uniformed. Special sensitivity training is required before employment.
