Be careful with Adams County Public Defenders. If you are not willing to plead guilty to a lesser charge, and want a jury trial, these people have no idea what they're doing. I don't believe they have much (if any) experience going to trial. Mine actually told me that I would lose with a jury even though I was innocent! He said that it didn't matter whether I was innocent or guilty. The police report made me look guilty, therefore I would be found so in the eyes of a jury. The police report had so many lies and inconsistancies that it was almost laughable. But my public defender said that juries don't think the police ever lie. Really? I thought everyone knew that the cops lie all the time. It's legal for them to lie. I hope he has underestimated the intelligence of a jury. Don't count on the public defenders to represent you. They want you to take that deal, keep that money rolling in! Not me, I still believe in real people believing the truth.
