      We are a personal and professional pharmacy focused on improving patient care through commercially available medications as well as a focus on the art and science of compounding. Metcalf Pharmacy was established in October, 1998 by Steve Metcalf, R.Ph., a graduate of the School of Pharmacy at the University of Georgia. Steve's desire is to provide the residents of Brevard with conscientious, personal service reminiscent of the days when the corner drugstore was more than a discount prescription factory. Our sincere desire is to provide caring, personal service designed to meet your individual needs. We realize that life often presents challenges, and we are more than happy to help, whether that means delivering a medication to someone without transportation or meeting you at the pharmacy for an after hours emergency prescription. Metcalf Pharmacy was founded with a vision to provide residents of Transylvania County with the benefits of a state-of-the-art compounding center. To this end, we continue to expand our compounding lab facilities and expertise. With the technology we currently employ, we are able to compound virtually any medication into a wide variety of dosage forms, all designed to meet the needs of individual patients, from patient specific hormone replacement therapy to hi-tech topical gels and veterinary products. When medication problems of any kind arise, we are your problem solvers. Our hours of operation are 9am to 6pm Monday through Friday, 9am to 1pm on Saturday, with shipping services available when needed. The relationships which we strive to build with both patients and physicians, ensure that positive medical outcomes are always reached.
