I went to Formalitites and tried on every dress in the shop. Then I shopped all over Tampa and Brandon in every bridal shop I could find. I went back to Formalities and bought the first dress that I tried on there. After going through all the other bridal shops, I cannot say enough about Lisa and her staff. Formalities was a wonderful find! The in-stock selection is terrific . . . my search for a mother-of-the-groom dress ended there! Thank heaven we found Lisa and Formalities. She was professional, patient, endlessly kind and helpful when we shopped for my daughter's wedding dress. (We also observed her assisting a very demanding and difficult bride while we were there, and she was amazing.) When we went back to buy the dress, it was prom week, but even with all the other customers we were made to feel welcome and never rushed! The selection of dresses is varied, beautiful and very reasonably priced. My daughter found a dress that she fell in love with, and it was probably the least expensive one that we saw...and need I say, she is absolutely beautiful in it? (I am her mom, after all!) Being from out of town and in the middle of a move, we also had complicated situation for getting the dress delivered, and Lisa made it simple and easy. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your patience and kindness when helping me select my wedding gown. It was the first gown I tried on, and of course I felt I had to visit all the other shops before coming back to your wonderful shop to purhase it. My fiance' especially loved the cruise we got and my mom and future mom-in-law found you to be very helpful in selecting their gowns as well.

I highly recommend this place to buy gowns for special occasions. You can buy a reasonably priced gown (with dyed shoes and a dyed purse to match) for the mother of the bride or groom at this store. They also rent tuxes at this store. I saw a few brides trying on very beautiful looking gowns when I went for my dress fitting. The service was excellent. They are friendly and extremely helpful especially Lisa, the owner. Their seamstress did an excellent job and charged reasonable rates. They did a great job matching the color of my shoes and purse to the color of my dress and it was all done quickly. You can also buy pretty matching necklaces and earrings. I ordered the shoes (I needed a wide width), the purse, a matching necklace and earrings and everything came in fast. Stop running all over Bradenton, Sarasota and Tampa (like I did) and come and relax here and get everything well taken care of. They also have a great website.

I was a first time mother of the groom and needed lots of help on a formal dress and a difficult size to fit for a dress. Lisa's shop was heaven sent with Lisa and her patient staff helping you find that perfect dress and all the accessories. Then the most amazing magic is worked by her alterations person to make that dress feel like it is custom made for your body! Best of all was the moderate cost you pay for all these special services in a one stop shopping business.

I love Formalities! I had been to other bridal stores all over from bradenton, and more and none of them even compared to Formalities! Lisa was so wonderful, I felt very relaxed and at home. I wanted to just go up to the store just to hang out, because it was such a wonderful environment. Other stores I thought were rude, and over priced, Formalities is very fair and a wonderful place to shop. I have returned to Formalities after my wedding to shop for another dress, because of the great experience I had before, and I just wanted to come back!

I was so worried about finding the right dress, I didn't have much time between the proposal and the wedding, however Lisa calmed all my fears and we picked out the perfect dress. She wasn't pushy like other shops I had been to in the area; she treated me more like a daughter than a customer. I would recommend anyone to this shop.
