The restaurant name derives from an incongruity between our restaurants principal specialty, Steaks and meat dishes, and the avowed vegetarian lifestyle choice of the owner's daughter, Morgan.
Descended from a long line of voracious carnivores, Morgan has worked tirelessly, if fruitlessly, to convert everyone she meets into grass-chewing devotees.
Out of an abundance of charity, the family ultimately decided to do three things to try to make Morgan feel better about our business.
1) We named the restaurant after her, at least until a cure is found for her particular disorder,2) We agreed not to serve veal, thereby sparing the lives of countless baby cows, and3) We created a special vegetarian section in the menu for those less fortunate entitled ", What Food Eats", .In spite of our deep and unwavering love and affection for our food challenged daughter, we remain determined in our mission to serve only the highest quality steaks and chops, prepared to succulent perfection, for the world's most discriminating meat-eaters.
