Do not use for your grooming services. Their business practices are deceptive and deceiving and employees are extremely rude. I made an appointment to have our dog groomed. He had a sock placed over one paw because due to a minor infection that is healing. When I checked him in, they told me that he could not have the sock on in the kennel because it would be considered a choking hazard. I was puzzled because I made a reservation and told them they could just call me when they were done and I'd pick him up right away. They told me that they actually take in multiple dogs and store in kennels in different stages in the grooming process. If I wanted to I could simply pay an extra $11 for "an express" haircut where they would do the grooming process and then immediately call when ready for pick up. Huh? I thought that is what I was paying for in making the reservation. This is deceiving because the extra fee or the "express" is not listed on the Petsmart website. I also asked them if I could get a cone and they said that would be a hazard as well. What? However, they said they would take my pooch without, but I explained that it was more dangerous because he would lick his would and get another infection to which they simply shrugged. They didn't seem to care. I asked him where they disclosed this requirement to the customers ahead of time so they would not waste their time coming down and they admitted they don't have such disclosure available to consumers. Throughout the discussion the employees were flippant and were very closed minded in trying to come up with some solutions. And again, nowhere did they disclose they take on more dogs than they can handle and kennel them up at different stages.

Never bring your dog here for grooming. I brought my dog here for a last minute grooming before I left out of town. In the three years of his life he has never had a bad hair cut. He looks ridiculous. I was not impressed with their techniques or mannerisms with the dogs. They were very insensitive and cold. I will never go back and I do not recommend anyone else to.

If you just want to grab dog food, and you know they have your brand, go for it. They've got a big selection of dog/cat supplies. My main review here will deal mainly with my search for a ball python. I started having dreams about snakes and really craving a snake for some reason. So when I was in this store buying my dog and cat food, I stopped and looked at the snakes they had. I had some extra time, so I picked up their book selections on Ball Pythons and Corn snakes. The Ball Python is what I decided to go with. Well, reading the books, they ALL recommended a "captive bred" python, mainly for health reasons. Ironically, PetSmart doesn't sell captive bred ball pythons, but captive hatched ball pythons (wild eggs hatched in captivity)! These types may still have internal parasites. that being said they have the best selection of reptile supplies that I could find in Boise, so I'll give them a "3", though I really want to rate them a "2". They don't sell snake food either.
