My upper radiator hose blew while I was luckily stopped at rest area outside of Bloomington recently. While waiting for my insurance company's choice of towing companies, I was recommended by a local business to have it towed to Wink's for the repair. Upon initially speaking with Eric in the service dept of Wink's he was able to assure the hose I needed was in stock at a local parts store and ready to be replaced when my car arrived. Unfortunately I was not able to make the nightime deadline to be repaired that night; however, Eric was still there to ensure my car would be serviced the next morning by Ray. My car was fixed quickly the following day, and Ray did an extraordinary job at communicating with me via phone since I was no longer in Bloomington. The price to fix my car was very, very reasonable and I was back on the road in no time. Would definitely recommend this service station. Their customer service was fantastic!

I lost my serpentine belt while driving through at 9:00 pm. Was able to maneuver my vehicle off the interstate, and into a safe parking option, before it was totally inoperable. Within 20 minutes I had received a recommendation to talk to the shop at Wink's. Stopped in on my way to the local hotel and spoke with one of the mechanics even though the shop was closed for the day. He took my information said he would try to obtain the part(s) that evening and they would get it in as soon as possible the next morning. My wife and I had been on the road for about 16 hours and were planning to take an overnight break within 20 miles anyway, so we got a room. In the morning,at 8:00, I walked to the shop and they had moved my vehicle to their station, and it was waiting for a space. At 9:00, it was inside, and at 10:30 I was called and told that it was done. By 11:00 we were on our way again. Service was outstanding and the price was way less than I had expected. THANKS.

My truck broke down when I was picking my son up for the weekend. I live just south of Chicago. Jordan and Billy were very help full. If my son or myself needed anything they were there to help. Prices were very fair to say the least. I would recommend winks to anybody the needs work on their vehicle. Thanks again for everything.

This was one of the worst experiences ever! They towed my car because it had been stuck in a snow drift in a ditch. I finally got there and they told me it would be 292.00 to get my car. I had asked them to please tell me why it was this much, and if there was anyway we could lower the price. The employee gave me a sarcastic remark that I would wake up the guy that towed it, he's sleeping right now. It was 65.00 for towing, 77.00 for gas and 150.00 for the labor. I told them that it was an outrageous price for towing a vehicle that I did not even have a chance to get it out myself the next day. I paid the amount and when I went back to get the vehicle it was completely totaled and snow covered the inside. They failed to even let me know that the vehicle was not drivable. Avoid dealing with this company at all costs. I have always tried helping family owned businesses like this Shell station/repair shop but this is extortion.
