For over a decade, New Orleans locals have flocked to a little family owned restaurant in Houma, La. that has devoted itself to "simple-casual" New Orleans cooking. And now they have opened a new location in Birmingham. At last Birmingham residents can experience the same great food and atmosphere. This concept proved to be just as successful for the next two restaurants, which opened in the New Orleans Metropolitan area. This love of cooking and entertaining dates back to the 1960's when Floyd and Peggy Waller began dabbling in the food industry, eventually opening a restaurant in the heart of Cajun country - Houma, Louisiana. Today, the third generation - the Bergeron's, have brought this "simple-casual" style of cooking to a new era with extra emphasis on perfecting the classics, such as gumbo, poboys and fried seafood.In addition to our great food, we have a fantastic selection of beers, - both in bottles and on tap -wines and frozen drinks.Less
