ADAPT Training is a center for therapy, athletics and fitness in Beaverton, Oregon. Our purpose is to re-educate the muscular systems of our members so their bodies can function in the most efficient way possible, the way nature intended. From obstacle course to stadium stairs, ADAPT Training has created the optimal environment geared to handle every stage of human body development. Your body needs specific movements to function correctly. Whether it's rehabilitation from a spinal injury, re-discovering physical fitness or high-end athletes intent on maximizing speed, quickness and power, the ADAPT training facility has no limitations. We're a progressive environment where you'll never max out and never encounter a physical challenge you cannot overcome. The human body will ultimately perform to an entirely new standard of excellence when the laws of nature are utilized, not ignored. At ADAPT Training we see durability as the single most important component of athletic training. Our workouts for players and top-end ADAPT athletes are dynamic and progressive. We guarantee coaches and athletes that we can design an athlete that moves like a gymnast and has the durability of a four year-old. You cannot train for one athletic component. Isolated training leads to athletic limitations. To construct a complete athlete, you need to develop balance, quickness, speed, and strength and the body's ability to utilize all its athletic components at once. ADAPT teaches athletes how to master all their physical talents unleashing untapped athletic potential by focusing on developing full-body power. ADAPT Training will fine-tune your ability for explosive power by prescribing customized exercises to fit your individual training level. You will never be asked to perform a movement that is not consistent with your muscular function. ADAPT ensures the athlete achieves balance throughout the entire body, talent in every direction, and eliminates all non-contact related injuries. Our goal is to get athletes' bodies out of the way of their talent. Looking for a unique program that redefines athleticism and durability? ADAPT Training. Stay in the game. Balancing the Musculo-Skeletal System The ADAPT training system is a human performance development program. ADAPT training is formed around the principles of how your body adapts to specific physical stimulus to produce the desired results. This philosophy uses individualized assessment and personalized programs to identify and correct muscular dysfunction. The goal is to restore, develop, and maintain a balanced muscular and skeletal system. The ADAPT training model is based on the principle that the human body has a specific design and blueprint. There are four major reference points to the blueprint. We identify them as the structural joints (shoulders, hips, knees, and ankles). These joints are designed to maintain a specific relationship with each other to evenly distribute the impact of the weight of the body and maintain the ideal alignment. The structural joints are designed to be able to work independently and unconsciously throughout their entire range of motion. The durability and performance of your entire body is dependent on maintaining the function of your structural joints Muscles Responsible for Joint Function - joining of two or more bones makes up a joint. Bones are inanimate objects that are under the control of the muscles that are attached to them. The position and movement of the structural joints are dependent on properly functioning muscles. There is an ideal pattern established to fire the muscles in a proper sequence to allow these joints to remain in equal relationship to each other. This should be an unconscious neuromuscular response. When the body is functioning in an anatomically correct position, it is designed to handle an amazing amount of stress and pounding without injury.
