We hired Elliot Mead to construct a Garage for us. We were blindsided when the final bill was an extra $12,000 over the quoted price with absolutely NO justification. It was explained to me by Eliot that 15 percent over was the industry standard. Further the garage was delayed over 1 month as his focus appeared more towards landing a big window contract from the City then completing our garage. It's been 1 year since the garage was built and my biggest complaint regarding quality and the reason I decided to write this review is the siding is constantly falling off. Also the entry way door leaks when we get heavy rain. I would avoid this contractor and look elsewhere. If you do hire him make sure you get the a guarantee on the price he quoted you.

Elliot Mead and his team came to our 50 year-old home in Newcastle a few years ago for some serious structural repairs. He replaced the roof, updated the electrical system, replaced the plumbing, and gave us a new bathroom. The renovation was not cheap, but the care and professionalism that we witnessed were extraordinary. The work is unlike anything available on the market today. Elliot is an old-school craftsman, and he doesn't cut corners--ever. One afternoon I watched his carpenter painstakingly pull extra nails from the studs of our bathroom walls. He didn't have to do that--the walls were going to be covered with new sheetrock. But it speaks to the care and integrity with which he and his men approach their work.
