Dashed into Banning for some fuel and saw this unique, inviting local fav with a parking lot full of cars. Walked inside to an adorable, family friendly, definitely like grandma's house kinda place. The staff were great, very attentive. If this review was only about the staff and building it would be 5 full stars, but, lets get real..we stopped for food. There was 4 of us. Dinner and dessert...over $100.00.We ordered two Ribeye's, one chicken sandwich, drinks and dessert. The drinks are large amd generous, great value. The steaks were not like the drinks...left 3/4 of them on the plate due to fat. The chicken sandwich's bread was too soggy to eat..so, you guessed it. Left it on the plate. The pies...hhhmmm, we were a bit puzzled. Was it Coconut or Banana?? None of us tasted coconut....All we tasted was instant pudding...in banana flavor. Sorry Gramma but my next trip to Cali will not include a visit.... : (

I just paid $ 42.00 for two sandwiches that was awful coffe was like dish pan water. Service was bad. Never again.

Excellent food, wonderful atmosphere. Skip the fancy chain restaurants and stop in here. Make sure you have someone to share the pie with, helpings are enormous.
