never showed up! woman was so rude when i called and hung up on me. I wish they could get no star!!!! I waited out infront of the hotel for 15 minutes before calling for an eta and she claimed the driver came through 7 minutes prior and left without me. I know this is a lie bc I stood outside. She did not send one back.

I had always had good service with this cab company for the past few weeks, they always show up and are very busy and seem to be the only ones operating at 8-1 at night so they have the market cornered, very smart!

I'm sorry, but I don't share these poor reviews. I've used Al's Taxi sporadically in the past, because I have my own car, but sometimes in bad weather or at night I choose not to drive it, & have never had a problem with them. Tonight I called for a ride from Kennebec Plaza to Cony Hannaford. The dispatcher said 20 minutes, & the cab was here right on time. The vehicle was comfortable & warm, the driver was friendly & courteous, & he waited for me to go in & grab the 2 items I needed at the store. I told him I had recently had knee surgery & he even helped me into the taxi & asked if I needed help getting out. I was very courteous, friendly & respectful to the dispatcher, & gave the driver a decent tip ($2.50 on a $7.50 fare). I didn't think $10 was too much for door-to-door service. He said most of the time people don't give him any tip at all, citing "you're already getting paid". Taxi drivers make DISMAL wages, & I think ultimately you get back what you give as far as courtesy is concerned.

Seriously the worst taxi company EVER! I wish I could give them zero stars. They left me stranded at the bus station (at 11pm) for fourty minutes. When I called to check on the cab the second time the dispatch got extremely agitated and hung up on me. As a woman travelling alone late at night and far away from home, it was a scary situation.

I just moved to maine last week. I took two bus rides to get here. Then I called this taxi service. I got some guy in a burgundy town car. It was pouring rain and I had my for year old son and all my belongings to carry with me in the middle of the night. He shows up after an hour, and tells us he can't take us because I didn't have a car seat. And left us in the rain.

The driver was complaining about her job the the entire time. She used her own wallet to handle cab money then she couldn't get it back into the glove box and swore the entire time. She belched while I was in the back seat and almost backed into traffic. She started yelling at me when I got a little upset that she went the wrong way. Definitely the most disrespectful driver I have ever met in my life.

They are really great taxi service,usually always on time. The star I left unmarked is for the fact they don't run so smooth on snow days......they need to prepare for that.they are a taxi cab in augusta maine for christ sakes

I've ridden with Al's Taxi many times and never had any bad experiences. They are caring and make sure your happy with your ride and you get to where you've got to get on time. I'd recommend this company to anyone.

i took als recently and they by far are the worst i had a guy named mike he drove a white pt cruiser and he hit on me the whole way. he was pushy and demanded that i got out with him i told him now but he was very persistent. the worst part was i had my kids in the back seat that had to witness this. i was very nervous and uneasy with him. it the most unsafe i have felt in a while i will never take them again beware.....

Every time I get that guy with a hearing ade he is 45 min late and makes me late for my appointment now the other drivers r pretty good like the 1 with the white taxi but u never kno who u will get

These cars shouldn't be allowed to be on the road. They are a danger to not only their drivers and patrons, but to the public in general. I truly feel sorry for the people that are driving them. One car that won't go more than thirty mph, and another one that sounds like its running at about 6000 rpm all the time.

Highly recommend this for the courtesy of the personnel during the trip and the quality of the ride. Their promptness was a welcome relief after the other delays we experienced during our trip and renewed our faith that there is still a strong work ethic in our country.
