(More) I have used Home Depot to due jobs in the past, but have realized this was a mistake. As a business owner, I am forced to compete with the prices from Home Depot. Unfortunately, they are able to purchase their garage doors from the same manufacturer as us, but at a lower price. Then they subcontract the work out to company X to install it, then company X has either an employee or their subcontractor due the actual work. How much do you think the installer is actually making after the manufacturer (yes, they are getting a cut), Home Depot, Company X all gets their money? What kind of quality and professionalism will that buy you? Please reconsider the next time you purchase something from the big retail stores that you need installed. Get estimates from LOCAL companies and deal direct with them. Granted, Home Depot will ensure you are satisfied even if they lose money on the job, but give the local reputable companies a try, and PLEASE, hire a LICENSED contractor!!! (Hide)
