This is the real deal. A family owned, family operated, multi-generational Italian gem. Any poor review that you read about Vito's is posted by people that think Pizza Hut is authentic southern Italian cuisine. The pizza is sublime. It is without a doubt the most authentic pie in Richmond. I have lived in Boston, and visited New York many times - this is the character of great Italian-American food. As an additional note, I have taken many guests to the area to Vito's and none have left disappointed.

The best authentic Italian food in the Richmond area. My wife and I have made this our Sunday "special". We have had at least 12 different dinners and pizza and all have been excellent. We relocated from the northeast and were looking for a "real" Italian family restaurant. This is the one! Off of Sliding Hill Road.

Great pizza and subs! I get the same thing every time!! I think this is a good choice for any family! The pizza slices are HUGE! Always good for any occasion!

I have been eating at Vito's for five years. The food is always excellent, dine in or carry out. The service is always great as well. I highly recommend Vito's. We love their pizza, and the sauce on the pasta is wonderful.

I've tried Vito's on three different occasions and the food has been marginal at best. I live close by, so I kept trying it in hopes that I would find one dish that was done well...to no avail. Even their pizza isn't good, and I thought it was nearly impossible to make a bad pizza! The decor and the service aren't bad, hence the two stars. If I was rating on the food alone, there would be only one star.

Whether eating in or taking your dinner home, the food is awesome. Every meal we've had from Vito's has been excellent!

Excellent food, reasonably priced, good service.........go early on Friday or Saturday nights. Good place for a business lunch.
