Dr. Doud, born in New Mexico, refers to herself as a "retired military brat". After living throughout the Southeast, she settled in Maryland and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Dr. Doud received her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she graduated with honors. At UHCO, she was elected to the Dean's List, was inducted into the Gold Key International Honor Society and the Beta Sigma KappaDr Doud is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the Maryland Optometric Association and serves as secretary of the Anne Arundel Optometric Society. She is proud of her volunteer work within the community and currently serves as Chairperson of Central Elementary?s Beautification Committee, parent classroom volunteer and as a religious education catechist for Holy Family Church. Dr. Doud currently resides in Edgewater with her husband, Gregg and their two children, Abigail and Aidan. In between chauffeuring her children around, Dr. Doud enjoys gardening and traveling.
