      General Info
      The Family Services Division is one of the state s divisions that provides adoption, foster care and individual protection services. The division s child support enforcement services include paternity establishment and the collection, distribution and enforcement of support orders. Located in Andalusia, Ala., the Family Services Division also offers child care and training-related services. In addition, the division provides family preservation and support services. The Family Services Division is a part of the Alabama Department of Human Resources, which offers foster care, adoption and legislative issue handling services. The department s financial assistance program includes job training and child care assistance services. It recruits social workers who provide child abuse assessment and individual protection services. The Alabama Department of Human Resources has a staff of more than 4,200 employees.
