Company History Tech-24 was started in December 1990 by Russ White. With a deep background in restaurant management, Russ realized the need for good, honest, and timely food equipment service in the Northern Virginia area. His business in Alexandria, VA grew very quickly by word of mouth. In May 1991 he teamed up with his son, Rick, who left his job working for a restaurant supplies distributor in N.C. In 1994 Mike Reed left his career in the Navy to work with Tech-24 as well. Roger Moore became a partner in the fall of 1995 and brought HVAC and Refrigeration service to our fast growing customer base. With the invaluable help of other key employees like James White & Kelly Swartz the company grew one restaurant chain at a time. Managers would leave one chain, relocate to another, and they would bring Tech-24's great service with them. This supported all of the growth Tech-24 could handle. We took on new customers only when we could get qualified technicians to handle the increased business volume. In 1998 Tech-24 brought JC Viteri on board to manage the Improvement, Plumbing, and Health Department Compliance division. By that time the company already offered Electrical, HVACR, and Food Equipment services to the restaurants in all of Northern Virginia and the DC Metro areas. Both our Plumbing and Improvement divisions have grown to a point that JC now focuses his attention on Plumbing only and our founder, Russ White, runs the Improvement and Health Department Compliance division. Tech-24 has grown by leaps and bounds over the past few years. In 2005, the company headquarters relocated to a new 28,000 sq foot facility on Eisenhower Avenue. We also opened a wholesale parts counter, became a Lochinvar Water Heater distributor, and a Captive Air Exhaust Systems distributor. We created an independent department to provide installation services on a larger scale and inJuly 2007 Tech-24 opened another division, Doors & Hardware, to further serve our commercial customers needs headed by Blair Flynn. In the same month we expanded our plumbing division to include environmental services in-house. We now have our first remote branch in Roanoke Virginia that currently services foodservice equipment and will offer refrigeration services in late September 2008. This branch will serve the Southern and Western parts of Virginia. We are very excited about this new office headed up by former employees, Tim White and Frank Spetich. Tech-24 is currently working on expanding our service area throughout the State of virginia. It is a challenge to make your way around the capital beltway without seeing a Tech-24 service van. We look forward to many more accomplishments in the years to come. Russ, Rick, Roger, Mike, JC, and Scott Sharpe, along with our many dedicated employees take pride each day offering the "TOTAL SERVICE SOLUTION" to the finest foodservice and commercial establishments in the capital beltway.
