I took in my 2003 TT because the timing belt broke. They had my car for three days and no one ever called me. So I had to personally go to the dealership myself and inquire about the status of my car. When I got there, the service agent couldn't tell me anything about my car. And they also didn't have a loaner car available for me. It turned out that the timing belt was under an extended warranty due to a recall from last year. The service department was trying to charge me several thousand dollars for the repairs and I feel like they were trying to deceive me by saying that the extended warranty was void. However after talking to an Audi Customer Care Advocate, everything was straightened out and the service department fixed my car at no expense to me. I went an entire week talking between my Advocate and the dealership to get things straightened out. If you are in the market for an Audi, do NOT go to this dealership!!! (Hide)

(More) I learned the hard way about warranties and I hope my experience will help future buyers by learning from my mistake. In Nov of ?04, I purchased a ?02 Audi from Audi of Albuquerque. The original factory date of the car was Feb ?02 which meant that the car was still under factory warranty until Feb ?06. When I was finalizing the sale, the finance mgr promoted the idea of an extended warranty. I am wary of extended warranties and had him explain the warranty to me in detail. He told me it would kick in the day I bought the car and last for 6 years ending in Nov of ?10. The warranty they sold me, at a cost of a little over $2700, actually started from the factory date of the car (Feb ?02) and went for 6 years from that date (i.e., Feb ?08). The finance mgr. deceived me by selling me a 6-year ?new car? warranty that lasted only 2 years past the factory warranty. Not many people would spend that kind of money on a 2 year warranty. I believe they knew this which is why they misled me. (Hide)
