In Retail Marketing, Sunoco has acquired Coastal and Speedway service stations located throughout the Southeast and sites in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C. from ConocoPhillips over the last several years. In addition, Sunoco acquired sites in New York and New Jersey. Given the title 'King of the Toll Road' by the Philadelphia Inquirer, Sunoco provides fuel on several of America's busiest toll roads included the Pennsylvania Turnpike, New Jersey Turnpike, New York Thruway, Garden State Parkway, Palisades (NJ) Parkway, Maryland Turnpike, and Delaware Turnpike. In 2012, Sunoco will also become the exclusive fuels provider on the Ohio Turnpike.
