Shelby County Treatment Center also provides after care planning, referrals to other agencies, follow-up, and job training and placement assistance. It has affiliations with the American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence (AATOD), Alabama Methadone Authority, Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and Alabama Board of Pharmacy.
