Downey's Carpet Care of Bozeman specializes in carpet, upholstery and oriental rug cleaning and deodorizing. While new to Bozeman, we're not new to carpet cleaning. The Downey family has been in the carpet cleaning business for five generations, since 1897. Here is how we clean: Downey's Four-Step Carpet Cleaning Process 1.Apply detergent-free or deodorizing prespray. Our preferred prespray is a detergent-free product that is more than green, it's healthful. In layman's terms, the active ingredients are salts, baking soda and citric acid. It is safe, effective and leaves behind no harmful residue. When pet odors are present, we use a deodorizing prespray that not only cleans, it neutralizes odors as well. 2.Pile agitation and regeneration using a dual-cylindrical-brush machine. The brush machine enhances pet hair removal, carpet fiber restoration and working in our prespray. 3.Rinse and deep extraction. We use a special kind of extractor, a high-flow extractor, to flush and rinse away the soils and residues from the carpet. It leaves your carpet "squeaky clean"! 4.Pile grooming. This final step leaves the carpet with a smart, professional finish. It lifts and opens the pile to enable faster drying. And always after the job is complete we will follow up with you to ensure you are completely satisfied
