I live in Colorado & I called in a to purchase a last minute stocking stuffer Christmas gift card for my mother. Heidi walked me through the process smoothly & professionally & mailed the card to my mother... Thank you Heidi I will definitely repeat this process because this Jo-Ann's is her favorite store... I have never seen worse staff at a store before. The ladies who were cutting fabric were horribly rude. One complained for five minutes out loud to herself about how she hates the way the fabric racks are built, then she sarcastically told customers to take a number. She acted as if we were stupid for not having a number when there couldn't have been more than 8 people in the entire store. When my husband and I got to the counter, I tried to explain what we needed to Barb (her name tag gave away her name) and she cut me off and said, "just tell me how many yards you need". I finally was able to tell her what we needed since we needed the fabric cut into sections of three yards. Then while she was flipping the fabric out, I don't even know why she said this, I must have been counting out loud as she unrolled the fabric because she stopped and blurted out, "I can count you know." I was so taken aback that I didn't even know how to reply, and I didn't even know what I had done to make her say that.



To make a long story short, I will never go back into that store because of those two ladies. It's a bummer because they have a great selection but I will sacrifice selection for service. The ladies at hobby lobby are always so sweet and seem to enjoy their job and I want to be around that atmosphere.

I am a certified educator who is not teaching full time. I was issued my Teachers Rewards card on my initial visit. I was told, on my second visit, I could not have the educator discount as I am not a "regular" teacher. I was pleasantly surprised to find there are multiple craft stores in the immediate area with quality sales for us educators who are not "regular" teachers. Staff was very courteous.

Most of my friends are teachers and I will tell them to shop at another store with a customer appreciation sale or sale discount. I had previously purchased items and used my retired teachers card, for the Jo-Ann "teacher discount" credit. This last visit my card was not accepted, as I am not considered a regular teacher. I will be thinking of this every time I substitue in any art or home economics related classroom.
