      General Info
      The Spain Rehabilitation Center, located in Birmingham, Ala., is a 50-plus-bed hospital that offers a variety of specialized services. Its staff includes full-time physiatrists, nurses, nurse practitioners, physical and occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists, psychologists, social workers, rehabilitation professionals and other health care professionals. The center provides a wide range of specialized services in several areas that include aging and geriatric medicine, allergy, asthma, arthritis, rheumatology, blood disorders and cancer. It provides a comprehensive set of services for those seeking diagnosis and treatment options for cancer. The center is a part of the University of Alabama at Birmingham and conducts collaborative clinical research to solve the medical management and acute rehabilitation problems of individuals with spinal cord injuries.
