I worked here as an aide. The care is good for the residents. The aids on the other hand don't get treated with respect. Keep in mind its a catholic institution and the same antics or discipline of a catholic institution applies here. For me personally, I felt like I learned a lot as an aid and I wouldn't be a good C.N.A if it wasn't for this place. On the other hand the C.N.A's here have hit rough. not a single compliment from the administration after working her for four months...amazing. Normally, I've gotten a kudos card every now and then or even a howdy "keep up the efforts" but nothing, other than generated holiday cards. they did give me a lot of criticism though which in turn helped me be better; but, as my future for this company, absolutely... not. The care is good and spiritually speaking, if your catholic this would be the best place to put your loved one. It's got that spirit that just can't be broken and one of the greatest learning environments for student.

I wouldn't recommend this nursing home. The care is "okay" here, but the measures they use to do so are Draconian. The care from a residents standpoint is mediocre, but the way they treat the aides, I was appalled! It seems to be due to the presence of the Nurse Manager that works there. I overheard the aides joking that she probably escaped as a Nurse working in Germany during World War 2. As a person of conscience about how others are treated, I wouldn't put my family members in this home. She is really old, perhaps with any luck she will soon pass away and I'll be able to improve my review.
