The campground is very clean and quiet. The staff is very nice. There are many activities on the weekends and the beach area is very clean. We enjoyed the mini golf also. I've been camping here for nine years and love it. My pets also enjoy taking walks around the campgrounds. We camped at Evergreen Lakes Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Evergreen is a real camping experience for families. Go hiking on the trails 1/2 mile down the road, swim at the lake, ride bikes, play ball in the field. Campground is clean and well kept. quiet hours are 10pm-8am and you may walk your pets around the campground on leash. The staff is friendly and expect campers to read and obey the rules so everyone has an enjoyable experience. There are grocery stores and eateries within 15 minutes either direction Bath/Windgap. Saylorsburg flea market is approx. 20 minutes away. Pocono raceway is within 30 minutes of the campground. The camp office has ice/candy/ice cream/snacks/sunscreen/repellents etc. We camped at Evergreen Lakes Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Horrible experience. The owner is as crooked as they come. I have seen them get people to sign their no refund policy and then use it to take numorus peoples money. Beware! It happens several times a season.

I Spent my entire childhood camping at Evergreen Lake. My sisters and I drove the staff and the owner nuts but they were always nice to us unless we got into something we shouldn't have but even then we knew we deserved it. I'm 19 now and I still love it there. It is the place for families to go if they want to spend time together. There may not be a fancy pool but swimming in the lake is awesome. Mini golf, fishing, paddle boating for a fee and a big field to play any kind of sport. In the area you can go horseback riding, hiking on trails, go to the flea market or Pocono raceway. I have never seen the staff act rude toward visitors. I have seen visitors treat the staff and owner bad and they say you get what you receive. Try it for yourself and then you'll see how beautiful this place is. If you read and follow the rules it will make it nice for everyone.

wedding

Owner is a jerk. Cares more about his grass than peoples safety during a bad thunderstorm. Would not allow more that 2 cars to go up and get people from the pavilion. Also upset the bride on her wedding day. Who does that!!? Would not recommend to anyone!!!

I have been a permanent camper here for 7 years now,. Evergreen Lake Campground is quiet and friendly. Nice wooded lots with electric hookup in all and a few with sewer hookup. Rules are posted and flyers handed out to new arrivals.Clean bathhouses and laundry facilities. Game room for the kids.Lake with beach for swimming, and fishing in the rest of the lake The owner is very nice and easy to talk to. I would recommend this campground to anyone.

The reviews are not what I experienced at all. I have been to two wedding at Evergreen Lake. They were both beautiful and had none of the bad experiences that the other reviewers had. It is a beautiful location for a special occasion. I have not stayed in the camp ground, but I do know that all rules are clearly stated before you rent a site. My husband and I have gone fishing at Evergreen lake several times. It is a beautiful and inexpensive day on a lake, in fact we will be going back soon. Can't wait

Beautiful ceremony site - horrible staff and reception site

First off, it should be less than half a star if any at all. I recently had my wedding and reception there since it was convenient for us to have both there at a cheap price. The ceremony site is beautiful, but the reception site, although there was nothing physically wrong with the site itself, the staff and owner were rude and made up rules as they went along.

Joe and his staff were not only rude to work with before the wedding but also on the wedding day, showing up whenever they pleased and telling people that he would be there to unlock doors etc when he wants, leaving our food out in the heat and there were puddles under the pavilion that he wouldn't mop up that never did "dry over night"

They charged us $135 extra for choosing what type of beer we wanted, only to find out that the "2 kegs we ordered" were not ordered at all and not even full kegs and were left over from a previous party, making the beer flat and old.

The bartender was very rude to my guests and wouldn't fill their glasses all the way, because the beer would "get too warm" even though we are the ones that supposedly paid for the beer (He just didn't want to have to tap a new keg).

The alcohol we brought for specific guests could not be used and the bartender told them that they had no soda for mixers, even though we provided all the soda, so he lied to our guests.

The electric for this facility all came from the same source making the DJs music sound very muffled due to the amount of electricity filtering through the same circuit.

The person setting up the food was not allowed in and out of the cooler even though we were told we could. Joe also helped himself to our beer and was cursing at our guests who were looking for anything that may have been left behind and also cursed at one for driving on his grass (which he did not know he couldn't do).

We had to start cleaning up at 8pm, an hour before we ABSOLUTELY had to be off the premises, while Joe supervised with beer in hand and chatted it up with the bartender.

Top top it off, because we catered the reception ourselves we had to pay $350 for a insurance policy for a 5 hour event....

I do not recommend going to this place for a party of any kind. The staff are not worth the money we gave them, they do not respect you or your guests, or wishes.
