- Dental Examination"In the years I've been going to Harbor East Dental, I've never waited long in the waiting room or in the dental chair. My dentist is friendly, of course, but she is also very professional with me and with her assistants. But what I like best about her is her care, thoroughness, and attention to detail. Her comprehensive examinations have revealed issues before they become problems, saving her and me time and (in my case) pain by addressing them in a timely manner. To top it all off, she has expertise and the gentlest hands I've ever been treated with. I would recommend Harbor East Dental unreservedly."
- X-rays
- Oral Cancer ScreeningAn oral cancer screening is essential for diagnosing and treating oral cancer early when it is easiest to treat. We will perform a thorough examination of your teeth, gums, tongue, and other soft tissues to ensure there are no lesions or suspicious-looking bumps. We will perform an oral cancer screening as part of your dental exam.
- Teeth CleaningTaking good care of your oral health can prevent cavities, tooth decay, gum disease, inflammation control, and many other oral health problems. Our preventive dentistry approach includes regular teeth cleanings and educating patients on proper techniques to control dental inflammation. Inflammation in the mouth can spread to other organs in your body. There is no substitute for a good home care regimen, and combining your at-home routine with regular dental visits can make it that much easier to maintain optimal oral health.
- Fluoride TreatmentYour oral and dental health is an essential component of your overall well being. That’s why Cigna Dental insurance plans cover two dental examinations and cleanings each year, one set of digital x-rays and possibly topical fluoride treatments and dental sealants for children, depending on your plan. If we spot a problem such as tooth decay or gum disease, then the restorative dentistry needed may also be fully or partially covered by your plan.

- Fillings
- Resin CompositeFortunately, the process is quite straightforward and simple. You’ll come to our office, and we’ll take a digital scan of your mouth using the iTero scanner. Within minutes, you will see a digital creation of what your smile will look like after Invisalign treatment. For more extensive work, we will have our world-class lab technician create a mock up of your smile in wax. We will then create this mock-up in your mouth with removable composite resin. You will have an opportunity to see your new smile prior to starting the dental procedures.
- VeneersChips, cracks, gaps, and stains are the most common cosmetic flaws people are dealing with today, and for many, they’re all a problem. It can be overwhelming to think about fixing multiple cosmetic flaws, but with porcelain veneers, we can completely transform your smile with one simple procedure.
- CrownsWhen it comes to repairing teeth, nothing does it better than a dental crown. A crown is simply a tooth-shaped restoration that fits over the top of a damaged tooth, and it can be used to repair a tooth that is chipped, cracked, broken, or decayed. Dental crowns are quite versatile, and they can do everything from restoring a tooth’s lost structure to improve its appearance. It all depends on your needs, and at Harbor East Dental, we’ll make sure your restoration is strong, durable, and lifelike alongside the rest of your smile.
- BridgesIn fact, dental crowns can also be used to help replace a single missing tooth or even a few in a row. After placing dental crowns on either side of the missing one(s), Dr. Ward can bond them to prosthetic teeth that fill the gap, creating something called a dental bridge.
- Dental BondingIt is rare for dental insurance to pay for elective services, but there are some exceptions. Many cosmetic procedures provide restorative benefits, such as metal-free restorations and dental bonding. If your cosmetic dentist deems a treatment necessary for your oral health, you can use your dental insurance to offset the cost. Although every plan differs, your benefits can pay up to 80% of the cost after meeting your deductible. We’ll help you maximize your yearly allowance to reduce the amount you’ll pay out-of-pocket, so you have one less thing on your plate.

- Root Canal Treatment"Never being one who was particularly fond of the going to the dentist, but knowing that I needed to be good to my teeth, I made my fist appointment at Harbor East Dental over two years ago. I was welcomed back like the prodigal son - the doctors, hygienists, assistants and staff were professional and had great "dental chair side" manor. They assessed my needs - root canal and all - and have taken great care of my smile since then. I'd recommend Harbor East Dental for someone like me who avoided dentists, as well as for families or individuals who are looking for the kind of caring professionals and staff found at Harbor East. It is a convenient location, too."
