General Info: AOA Geophysics Inc Marine Hazard Survey, Marine Geoscience and Geological - Geotechnical Engineering, Electrical Methods, VSP, and Land Seismic Consulting and Contracting AOA was formed in 1989 as Arnold Orange Associates, and incorporated in 1997 as AOA Geophysics Inc to become an employee owned consulting and contracting company. The original emphasis on electrical methods, primarily magnetotellurics (MT), quickly expanded to include potential field methods - gravity and magnetics - and then seafloor and near-seafloor studies, as well as other offshore site investigation services. The company targets a technical leadership position in all its undertakings. A pioneer in the field of marine electrical geophysics, the company's efforts in this field culminated in the formation of a separate company, AOA Geomarine Operations Inc (AGO), in 2002 whose mission was to commercialize Controlled Source Electromagnetics (CSEM). AGO was acquired by Schlumberger in 2004. The principal goal of AOA Geophysics is to provide our clients with results-oriented solutions of the highest quality designed to achieve client objectives in our areas of expertise. AOA employs highly qualified marine geologists and geophysicists, engineering geologists, engineering geophysicists, and survey specialists.
