Have great experience with selecting and the laying of carpet. A very positive experience with Mr. Judkins and his son. The guys that actually laid carpet were great and extremely friendly.

This is why...guy shows up late, radio blasting, thought it was my neighbors friends...sits in his his car scared to knock on my door cause my other carpet estimator was finishing up (2 or 3 estimates is what I usually do 30 min increments) then lies to the appointment setter saying he knocked on my door; regardless, cause I wanted to support, set up appt for next day and he bangs on my door, briefcase in hand and says he came to tell me he is refusing to do my estimate cause of what happened yesterday...as if that's some kinda courtesy...why make the trip? Then proceeds to throw a tantrum in my front yard...I tell him to get off my property...so not professional...

Mr. Judkin's replaced my parents' carpet over 30 years ago, when I was looking to replace my carpet, I was surprised and pleased to see Mr. Judkin was still in business. The quality and price of his carpet is outstanding! The office staff, family, was great to work with. The installer's help didn't show up on installation day, but the carpet was professionally installed the same day.The sub-contractor spent over 12 hours working in order to get the installation completed and on time. I highly recommend Judkin's Carpet, their service and sub contractor.

First off i would like to say ...

First off i would like to say that this is my first online review for a business. I normally do not write any reviews unless forced upon (*cough *cough Toyota Stevenson East). With that said i would like to give my input on a recent carpet installation i had done by Judkins Carpet. In todays world people rely on reviews online, and Judkins has only one, so hopefully my review is helpful for anyone who is decided to do business with Judkins.

Con- The reason im giving them 4 stars instead of 5 was due to the warehouse issue Judkins had on the carpet they ordered for my house. Supposedly the Carpet Dock was closed, and they did not have my carpet delivered. This delayed my carpet installation by a week.

Pros - When Judkins says he'll beat any competitor's price, he means it. I was searching for low priced carpet for my home. I saw that Home depot had some okay/cheap carpet in their store. Paid 50.00 for them to measure my home and give me a price quote. Once i received my quote, i tried to make home depot match a lowe's coupon, but they refused. So this lead me to search other venues for carpet, having a good idea on how much carpet is needed and a measuring quote I checked out Judkins Carpet off of Colfax. Yeah i know Colfax... Many would avoid this area, but give Judkins a shot.

Went into Judkins store, met the owner Ervin Judkins, and right off the bat he tried to get me to buy carpet out of my range. Can't blame him, didn't exactly know what i wanted. I told him, I'm looking for low priced carpet, and i have a quote from Home Depot, and asked him if he could beat the price. The carpet price was pretty low, I even brought a sample to show him what kind of carpet it is. Judkins takes a look, and just calculates some numbers, and offers me the same price for his carpet.

Mind you Judkins did not even feel the sample carpet, he just took a look to see what type of carpet it was. I searched several stores before judkins and each and every one of them looked and felt the carpet. Since its a low grade carpet they would not give me a good deal or match it. With Judkins not only did he match the competitors price he also gave me better quality carpet. Without question that right there is 5 star service on judkins part.

Also would like to add that, the installers frederico and his partner did an exceptional job on my installation. I had about 1200 sqft installed, and it took them a total of 5 hours. My only problem with the installation was that i was told carpet install would happen at 8 AM. Was not given a time window. Just told they pick up the carpet at 8 and then they will go to your house. They didn't arrive until 9:30 but i expected them to be here sooner then that. At least they showed up. Other then that they did the job, no complaints from them, they're hispanic and hard workers. I just slept in my garage, and was not bothered one bit by them. I would like to note that with home depot and lowes installation, they have their own contractor just like Judkins. The big difference is those 3rd party contractors from lowes/home depot will charge you outrageous fees for carpet install. Such as, moving your own equipment, removing and hauling your carpet, if your carpet/pad has urine stains that will cost you extra. All these fees can total up to 400-500 extra depending on your square footage, in my case 1200 sqft. With Judkins these are all including with the installation, they will haul away the carpet, remove it for you, and help move some things if needed. So their install service gets 5 stars for me.

To sum it up, Judkins will beat the competitors price, if its not by price it will be by the quality carpet. Forgot to mention that Judkins gave us several carpet color options which was another big bonus. Install includes pretty much all carpet labor, such as installing carpet, removing carpet, hauling away, removing urine soaked pads, and help with furniture if needed. 4 1/2 stars for Judkins

I chose Judkins to lay my Lami...

I chose Judkins to lay my Laminate flooring because they had come highly recommended by friends of mine. ( They used them 5 yrs ago ) Their bid was very reasonable, our salesman was Stanley, one of the owners ( never introduced himself as one ). The day had finally come to have our floor intalled and we were given a window of 8am-12pm start time. I was called by Stanley in the morning of my install to say, "the installers had a job laying carpet that morning and would be over when they were done". Now it's 1:30 and no installers. I caledl Judkins office and spoke to the poor, sweet office receptionist and she was just as suprised that no one was there to install my floor. Mind you! I have already paid 1100.00 up front as required, with a small balance left. So, the receptionist says she will make some calls and call me back. Long story short, she did call me back but floors didnt get done that day. Now we are to the following weekend....poor install guy shows up and hand us an envelope, it's the final bill and at the bottom states " BALANCE DUE UPON START OF INSTALLATIONS". They must be crazy!!!! Our garage was open while the floors were being installed and the installer helped himself to our extension cords and trash can. I could actually go on and on......they have to come back tomorrow to fix something, theres a chance the only way to fix it is ripping up the floor. Stanley was quite the salesman, he left his installer hanging. His receptionist taking the brunt of an extremly disastisfied customer. He misled me when he sold me the job as far as how the floor would "lay". My other bid was from Carpet Mill, wasn't that much more money, man! am I kickin myself now!!!
