NEVER go Here!! You may be fooled by the low prices and the cool kid friendly chairs and toys. However, this stylist completely RUINED and CHOPPED OFF my daughters long curly blonde hair against my wishes after I repeatedly told her to stop cutting! Lets start from the beginning:
We walk in and I fully explain to Molly that my daughter had very tangly hair with lots of snarls to comb out and needs a conditioning treatment and some patient fine combing. (I could have done this myself, but figured it would be quicker/easier/and my daughter would act a lot more calm with someone other than me. Keep in mind I never mentioned any cutting at all)....

She smiled and said she definitely could do that. 4 more people come in and she starts getting backed up, Molly pulls out the scissors and starts CUTTING OUT all the snarls!!!! Never even asked me about cutting at all. THIS WAS MY DAUGHTERS FIRST HAIRCUT!!!! What a Traumatic experience this was. We came in hoping to get a hair style and nice smooth hair with maybe a 1-2 inch trim and she completely SHEERED OFF 6-8 inches!!! WTF!!!!

****The absolute worst part = When I saw her cutting out the snarls wayyy too short up to her neck (my daughter hair was half way down her back!) I told her I wanted to KEEP IT LONG and this was supposed to be a very special first haircut (My daughter was very scared and nervous in the beginning). Her reply, I know your not happy, but Im trying to save what I can and make it even.... HELLOO - this is MY child - Not yours! When I tell you NOT to cut her hair short, you should follow my wishes and maybe say sorry for cutting 6 inches off without even asking. If I ask you to stop cutting, STOP CUTTING!!! Stop means stop. I asked several times for her to stop cutting (her hair in the front was not even and longer than what she had chopped in the back when I asked but I did not care, I wanted to leave with it long in what was left). So what does she do now? SHE CONTINUES TO CUT THE REST IN THE FRONT EVEN SHORTER TO MAKE EVEN
even WHEN I ASKED HER TO STOP!!!! I should have grabbed my daughter right out of her chair.

I am a very introverted, quiet, shy, and non-confrontal person. However, when a stylist completely disregards what I asked from the beginning and continues to CUT EVEN MORE after I ask her to stop - I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND FAMILY FUN CUTS AGAIN. (I have had a few positive experiences here, but after this very traumatic and emotional experience and Molly completely refusing to stop cutting my daughters hair cutting it even shorter all around, I will never go here again.

When we got in the car, my daughter asks, Why did she not listen to you?
What a great example and memory you have left my child on her very first haircut experience. I still can not believe this happened and I can not stop hating myself for going there today. I miss her long baby blonde curls and can not believe she had the nerve to keep chopping them off. I hope this review opens eyes and makes people think long and hard before stepping foot in this place!

This is by far the best hair place in augusta molly the owner is so sweet to all the children and adults she is very good at what she does everytime I go in I tell her what I want with very little detail and she cut and styles it perfectly

My sister and I went together and had a cut, color and style for a wedding. We had a great time and Molly knew just what we needed to look great. It's going to be our regular place to go.

I went on vacation with my family and found Family Fun Cuts. This was the best experience both my children EVER had getting their haircut. Usually my 5 yr old son clings to me and starts crying hysterically. This x my son was so preoccupied with all the fun things to look at and do that he didn't even realize he had his haircut done until it was time to get down from the chair. Besides the fun environment the hairdresser who happen to be the Owner did a great job with the children . Since my children were so busy with all there was to do that I was able to get my haircut too. Wow! Being a parent you can appreciate being able to have time for you to get your hair done too. I would Absolutely recommend Family Fun Cuts and next time i go on vacation in Maine we are all going back.

He was able to cut my 1 year olds hair without my son crying even once. It was a great haircut too.

Unbelievable!!! My 3 yr old son despises the sight of any Beauty Parlor. This place and Richard was great with him. I never thought that he would get the haircut finished. My oldest son is 4 1/2 and he thought it was the greatest place ever. I had to convince him that I would come back soon to have a haircut so that he would leave. If you have a chance to go you will be equally pleased if not more. Just remember young or old when the kids are happy and comfortable so are the parents.

The best place I have ever been, I don't trust anyone else to cut my hair. All of the kids in town love to go there, it is just a fun place to be.
