Charleston Street is hands down my gift and home decor go-to in Augusta! Every single thing in the store is absolutely beautiful, and the staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. Specifically, Blake Leverett has helped me with several purchases over the past year or so, and her taste, knowledge, and advice have been indispensible. While most of my purchases have been gifts for others, I recently made my first purchase for my own home, a beautiful painting of peonies which I am just in love with! Charleston Street is the best florist in town. Not only do they create amazing arrangements for birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions, but they also offer event planning and decor! I came to them with a small budget for my fall wedding. Greg and his staff produced the most beautiful arrangements! I trusted him with the setup and arrangement of our reception venue as well. Greg has fantastic taste and always strives to create a classic, magical look for each and every bride - no matter what your budget may be!

Charleston Street has been my go-to event planner and florist for all the fundraisers and special events that I have planned and produced over the last seven years in the Augusta area. The creative team, led by proprietor Greg Boulus, is unmatched in the region. Greg's aesthetic and taste transform any space into a stylish, cohesive event. His diversity in floral design is very wide spread - and he can craft any event to suite your personal taste. After such great experiences with them on the many parties and fundraisers I've planned, I knew I had to turn to him for my own wedding. He is translating my dream look and reception into reality. AMAZING job on flowers, linens, chairs, layout, and all the other details that a bride worries about. I knew I wanted to use Charleston Street from the beginning, and like most brides I was working on a budget. During my consultation, I voiced my concern with how fast money was flying out with other things, and they really put me at ease when they said, "don't stress yourself out; everybody has a budget." Then I knew that they were going to work with me to make it the most beautiful with what I had. They even helped me decide on a menu that was appropriate for the number of guests and time of day. I also registered my china (Juliska) and glassware (Simon Pearce) at Charleston Street, and was so happy to get almost all of it, all wrapped up in the brown box with pretty green ribbon!

While the staff is friendly and they carry pretty, classic designs, do NOT have your bridal registry there. I say this for many reasons: 1) they do not keep up with your online registry, so you have no idea of what you have and what you still need, 2) if someone wants to order you a gift on the website, they charge a $10 shipping fee but never ship anything; instead they pocket the $10 and make the recipient (bride) come and pick up her gifts in store, 3) they NEVER keep anything in stock! So whenever anyone wants to buy a gift, they are just given an I.O.U. card to give to the bride- pretty special, huh? 4) When they finally do get your gifts in stock, they never call to let you know it's there- that's because when a shipment comes in they put it out on display in the store for someone else to buy! Then they have to scramble to pull things from the shelves when you call and demand the gifts you are owed! This place is more trouble than it is worth, and everything they sell can be gotten (and more) at other local places who operate under a much more organized and professional system. Charleston Street either needs to get it together or just stick to floral arranging!
