have you ever smelled shrimp that smelled like ammonia? well, i have. about 7 hours ago i bought 10 jumbo shrimp for 12 dollars. great start to the wonderful seafood meal i wanted to prepared for my fiance'. to my surprise they were far too fishy smelling and upon closer sniffing... the smell of ammonia ...??? im no seafood expert but i do know thats a bad thing. i have had another past experience where the boneless skinless chicken breast was really tough. no, not my cooking. fried, tough. baked, tough. sauteed, tough. i dont know what it is about harris teeter's meat but i would not recommend buying from there for lack of quality not to mention being over priced unless theres a sale. the veggetable selection is however fantastic. if only i were a vegan... oh well, thats life. save your money and shop some place else for meats and seafood.
