Wabi Sabi Cottage sits alongside the Sheepscot River in Alna, ME. If you're looking for a peaceful place to visit, that embraces the philosophy of Wabi Sabi, I highly recommend this bed and breakfast. Though I usually write reviews on far away places, I thought it was time to share this treasure close to home. Seven mornings a week one can enjoy a scone,donuts or muffins, made by the innkeeper, along with your coffee or tea which is served in charming individual mini- teapots. What earned 5 stars from me was the afternoon tea I enjoyed recently served elegantly in 3 tiers. Along with one's choice of tea came sandwiches, mini scones served with homemade jam and lemon curd and finally mini deserts served with ice cream. If you're looking for a place to stay, the 2 rooms at the cottage look inviting.. the owner's interest in 19th century life is evident. You might even find an antique for sale. Go for the night, go for tea or go antiquing...I'm sure you'll enjoy Wabi Sabi.
