Our family run business was created with the vision of adding beauty, peace, and joy to a world that we feel could use more of these important intangibles. The beautiful white dove brings a tangible representation of peace and closure when included in a funeral or memorial service. A pristine white bird flying gracefully back to its home provides comfort with a gentle reminder of release and freedom. At weddings, the bridal pair of doves embody the joy and excitement of the newlyweds starting their new life together. In addition to these services, Dovecote provides dove-assisted therapy to nursing home residents. A harnessed white dove allows residents to hold the soft bird, warming hearts and hands. Finally, the retired schoolteacher in Ken (Dovecote's owner) enjoys delivering presentations about the important missions that homing pigeons carried out in WWI and WWII, conveying lots of interesting information of which most people are unaware.
